ROMANTICS

An exploration of the romantic movement from the mid 19th-century and looking at the essences of romanticism. Romanticism started in the mid 19th century due to a group of thinkers who had nostalgia and wanted to return to the middle ages. They valued a strong emphasis on nature, emotion and individualism. A romantic thinker glorifies the past and resists all things modern. With this in mind I wanted to create a line that pulled some of the fashion from this time period as well as the dramatics of the romantic thinkers.
